Katharine is the Founder and Managing Director of Manning Consulting Australia Pty. Ltd. Established in 2012, Katharine had a vision of bringing together skilled consultants with clinical and health backgrounds to work in partnership with clients, to bring about innovative and transformative change in the Australian healthcare sector.
Katharine’s career has spanned a range of health, government and consultancy roles. She is passionate about improving the health and wellbeing of communities and has an interest in integrated place based planning and community partnerships to create vibrant, accessible, healthy and connected communities.
Katharine draws on her clinical, operational, senior management, executive, national consultancy and board roles. These include clinical roles in Australia and overseas, Policy and Strategic Projects, and Service and Capital Planning roles with the Victorian Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), allied health management and hospital planning roles. Katharine is skilled in leading high performing teams with a demonstrated ability to think strategically combined with an astute attention to detail. Katharine has successfully led and delivered a range of small- and large-scale projects for metropolitan health services and for government.
Qualifications include Post Graduate Diploma of Business Leadership, RMIT, Bachelor of Applied Science (Occupational Therapy) La Trobe University, Associate Fellow of the Australasian College of Health Service Management (ACHSM) and Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (MAICD).

Dr Tom Keating
Associate Director
Dr Tom Keating is one of Australia’s most experienced health and community services administrators. In a career spanning forty years, Tom:
Tom was Regional Director of Victoria’s Hume Health and Community Services Region for more than twenty years. This comprised responsibility for all welfare, disability, children’s services, health, aged care and housing services provided or funded by the state government. He was Pro Vice Chancellor of La Trobe University and has held senior academic appointments at La Trobe University, University of Dublin – Trinity College and University of New South Wales.
Tom has undertaken a wide range of policy and program review projects particularly for the Commonwealth Department of Health and Ageing. These have concerned health workforce, mental health, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander services, and pharmacy programs. He has been extensively involved in planning for and establishing integrated primary health care services across Australia.
Qualifications include Bachelor of Arts (Honours), University of Melbourne, Bachelor of Social Work, University of Melbourne, Master of Social Work, University of Melbourne, and Doctor of Philosophy, La Trobe University. Tom is a Fellow of the Australian College of Health Service Management (ACHSM), a member of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) and a Member of the Institute of Public Administration, Australia (IPAA).

Susan Gannon
Associate
Susan is a highly experienced nursing and midwifery executive with a demonstrated ability to enhance service reputation by visionary leadership and strategic planning. Susan has been responsible for the operational delivery and strategic planning of statewide and regional services across the states of Tasmania, Victoria and Queensland.
Qualifications include Masters of Health Service Management, Griffith University (current), Post Graduate Diploma Family Child Health, UTAS, Registered Midwife and Nurse, Bachelor of Education (Primary) and Board member of Women’s Health Australasia.

Heather Johnson
Associate
Heather has substantial industry experience in health, community services, aged care and disability, and local government. She has held executive and senior management roles in both local government and health services and brings a comprehensive suite of competencies to her consultancy.
Heather founded Your Future Options in 2016 as a management consultancy focused on strategic planning, service reviews, business improvement and implementing change in the health, local government, and community services sectors. She works collaboratively with others to achieve community outcomes and sustainable, viable organisations. She is a strategic thinker, known for her capability to understand and conceptualise information quickly and strategically.

Andrea Bower

For over twenty years, Andrea has made her mark as a consultant in successful strategic health planning, transformations and leading projects and programs with a value of $200K to $2.0B in value. She has delivered business strategies, transformations, capital investment & design, strategic sourcing and vendor management initiatives for leading health organisations, finance and Defence sectors in both public and private sectors across Australia.
Working together with stakeholders, Andrea applies her industry expertise, learnt theory and best practice knowledge with a collaborative working style to bring about organisational transformation and deliver workable strategy, projects and programs. She believes that strategy is most effective with stakeholder buy-in to subsequently drive the vision of the organisation.
Qualifications include MBA from one of Australia’s top graduate management schools, Certification as a Practicing Project Manager, Nursing and Midwifery, Fellow of the Australian Institute of Project Management and Member of the Australian Health Design Council. =

Jane Canaway
Associate
Jane has held executive and senior leadership roles in government, health and community support sectors prior to moving into consultancy in September 2018. Her experience spans policy, project and program management and her client centred approach is underpinned by her background as a Registered Nurse and Midwife.
In Jane’s most recent operational role she was responsible for a budget of $50m and led a large diverse team spanning medical, dental, allied health, nursing, mental health and health promotion. Jane was part of the executive that drove the merger of three inner urban community health services to create a new entity and held executive roles in the new organisation for four years. In addition to operations, her role included the development of quality governance and operational systems for the new cohealth organisation to ensure safe, effective patient care.

Chiara To
Associate
Chiara is a qualified pharmacist with over nine years’ experience managing projects within healthcare and related sectors. She has a broad knowledge of the health system, encompassing primary and secondary care, as well as experience working with different government departments and consulting with rural and remote communities.
Chiara’s previous experience includes key roles in several major national programs, including the Provision of services relating to Expanded and Accelerated Price Disclosure (Department of Health). Chiara is an experienced consultant project manager for health sector projects, as well as a skilled health policy and proposal writer.
Qualifications include Diploma of Project Management, Plenty Training, Postgraduate Diploma of Public Health, University of Melbourne, Bachelor of Pharmacy, University of South Australia.

Scott Nicey
Senior Data Analyst
Scott has over 20 years’ experience in data analytics and application development across many industries and sectors. With a strong background in mathematics and statistics, he has high level skills in database design, business logic analysis, data modelling & relationships. Scott is well versed in manipulation and in forecast modeling of the Victorian Health and Human Services health and community datasets.
Qualifications include Graduate Diploma in Computer Science and Bachelor of Engineering (Manufacturing).

Liz provides a range of support and administrative services for each project to ensure that the project is delivered on time and on budget.
